Ayomide Weds Abiodun: Vow to Look Up not Down, Go Forward not Backward, Epitomize Virtues and Elegance

The wedding ceremony between Ayomide Omolola and Abiodun Bernard epitomizes the reality of God’s orchestrated union, and the truism of the saying that God orders the steps of His children and does not allow their paths to cross by accident. This occasion also, brings to mind the scriptural truth that he who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord, and the wife being God’s prepared vessel for the man is virtuous, and therefore will do the man good, all the days of her life and not evil. Whatever God establishes, He perfects and as long as He remains in the union, hopelessness will never find a place, for to him that is joined to all the living, there is hope, because a living dog is better than a dead lion. Except the Lord builds the house, the laborers build in vain and except He watches over the city, the watchmen are awake but in vain, and because children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is reward, the assurance therefore is that this union is destined to be fruitful, and the couple will bear fruits, even at their old age.

Suffice to say and this is instructive, “the goal of our life is not to find joy in marriage, but to bring more love and truth into the world. We marry to assist each other in this task. The most selfish and hateful life of all, is that of two beings, who unite in order to enjoy life. The highest calling is that of the man, who has dedicated his life to serving God and doing good, and who unite with a woman in order to further that purpose.”- Leo Tolstoy. As God takes the first place, as well as the last in this union, the center will forever hold, and nothing can break it.
