2024 Elections: Americans Have Spoken Loudly…

“As long as you are going to think anyway, think big.”- Donald Trump

Congratulations to the President-elect, Donald Trump, who is going to be the 47th President of the United States of America, effective January 20th, 2025. The constitution of the United States of America is sacred and every patriot, who is a lover of the country that is reputed to be the strongest on the face of the earth, is bound by it, and it is from this unalloyed allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which its stands that citizenship is premised. I want to appreciate God Almighty and the United States of America for the privilege extended to me to become a citizen. This rare opportunity, I will never take for granted. It is noteworthy, however, that one of the questions I answered, while being inducted as a citizen, is that of my readiness to bear arms in defense of America, and to which I answered in the affirmative, YES. Truly speaking, it remains Yes and settled.

It is therefore on this note, that I would like to subscribe to the saying that “charity begins at home”, which to me is a dictum. Listening to the concession speech of the Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris, at her Alma Mata, Howard University in Washington DC, on November 6th 2024, one of her statements stood out and that is “while I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign.” Borrowing a leaf from this statement, suffice to say that from the sound of what Americans said on November 5th, 2024, that resulted in the election of the former President Donald Trump, that the choice of President Joe Biden as the running mate to the former President Barack Obama, was to Barack Obama a privilege, for Biden being Caucasian (white), the choice of Kamala Harris as the running mate to President Joe Biden, was a privilege also to Kamala Harris, for Kamala Harris being black and not Caucasian, while the choice of Governor Tim Walz, a Caucasian (white) as the running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris, a black woman, was a privilege also to her, being black and choosing a white man as her running mate, instead of being the other way round, where the choice should have been a privilege to Governor Tim Walz.

It is against this backdrop that we realize that the Caucasian Americans are superior to the non-Caucasians, and that is regardless of the status and standing of the non-Caucasians and irrespective of their American citizenship, which is inconsequential in matters of leadership in America, especially the position of the President. Because no one is perfect, and the perfection of what becomes of any country, no matter how big or small it may be, is a function of the behavior of the people who make it up. It is therefore evidently clear that by the choice made by Americans of Donald Trumps as the 47th President of the United States, overlooking his conviction as a felon, his impeachment twice, and his complicity in the January 6th 2021 attempted insurrection against the Capitol Hill, which is the temple of democracy in America, instead of the Vice President Kamala Harris, a female with Indian and Jamaican parents, who also rose through the ranks to becoming a Prosecutor, District Attorney, Attorney General, a Senator from California and the 4th female Vice President of the United States of America, America has made a mistake that will forever affect her reputation as a beacon of light of Democracy and the fighter against corruption and injustice in the world.

Because it is not impossible for the frog to think of swelling up to rival the bigness of an ox, and what comes to sleepers is dream, to be delusional can be a function of either underestimating of or overestimating of one’s self. We all like winning, winning is good, but if we don’t stand for something, what then do we win? The problem we have, as the case was with America, especially in the just concluded elections, is not raising the bar and not getting to it, but that of lowering it and getting to it. To this end, what the implications of the incredible second coming of the former President and now the President-elect, turn out to be, is a matter of speculation and conjecture as things are right now. The situations in the world today are volatile and things can easily go hay wire at the slightest acts of omission or commission. As fearful as reality is, it is not as fearful as the evasion of reality, and the art of life is in a constant readjustment to our surroundings. When God speaks, everything hears because the voice of the Lord is powerful and God upholds all things by the word of His power. There is also a difference between the perfect will and the permissive will of God for humans as well as nations.

Be cognizant, therefore, that the President-elect, Donald J. Trump has only 4 years to take America into her golden age as he promised, and as we all know, the earth is long but life is short. It is the hope of the Americans that the seconding of President Donald Trump would make the world a safer place to live in and not the opposite. Kudos to the Americans for the successful and peaceful conduct of the 2024 elections, hoping that the reality at hand ushers in a more peaceful, resilient, and prosperous country. Americans have spoken loud, but the future into which it goes, is blurry, for only a vision that is written on the table and is clear, guarantees speed, for the brighter the headlight of any car or vehicle at night is, the fast the driver of that vehicle can go, and the efficacy of light is best appreciated in darkness. Darkness covers the earth and gross darkness, the people. Our prayer for America is for the country to arise and shine. We are therefore enjoined as Americans to give peace a chance and make a room for fence mending by closing the gap of the vision, for no house divided against itself can stand the test of time. That America may not fall and become a laughing stock among the committee of nations, is a task that must be done. Together, we can make it work, yes we can!

To the indefatigable Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris, you have indeed put up a gallant fight and have lost gallantly. Nonetheless, your efforts should serve to you as running the race of the uncommon President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and not your own race in particular. God still has a place for you and as you have said in your concession speech, this indeed is not the time for you to fold your arms, but the time for you to roll your sleeves, and on this, we have your back. Do not be discouraged or deterred, as we all continue to lighten up our tunnel, as we walk through it, towards a glorious ending, for to wait for the light at the end of the tunnel, is deceptive and delusional. For we are the light of the world, and a house that is built on the hill, that cannot be hidden. No hope is lost, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. We understand very well that the devil only roars as a lion but is not one. Good job and congratulations. He who thinks big and dreams big, must also act big, for faith is an act, and from whom much is given, much is also required. Americans have spoken loudly but not clearly. God bless the United States of America.
