MINISTER OF INFORMATION INTERACTS WITH STATE COMMISSIONERS OF INFORMATION

An interactive meeting between Commissioners of Information from the thirty six states of the federation and the Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Muhammed Idris took place in Abuja shortly after their roundtable engagement with the ICPC on Wednesday 3rd of September 2025.

The Commissioners who were in Abuja to attend a roundtable engagement with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission ICPC took time up to interface with the Minister in his office to advance the frontiers of enhancing positive publicity for the country’s effort towards economic development.

Welcoming the Commissioners, the Minister expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as timely and strategic.

He said a national platform such as the grouping of Commissioners of Information in Nigeria should be made to serve the interest of the country in a collective form.

He acknowledged that this is the first time such a meeting involving all Commissioners of Information irrespective of political interests.

He said such meetings will continue in order to streamline and harmonize one central position for the development of the country.
